HISTORY OF SACRAMENTO VALLEY HEAT
Sacramento Valley Heat is a Community Leather Event sponsored and hosted by The Sacramento Valley Leathermen as part of our Community Outreach, Education and Events programs. Our goal is to create and provide a fun, safe and entertaining experience for all members of the Leather Community. We will again be holding SVH at the Bolt Bar, our Home and Host bar as well as the Sacramento areas ONLY Leather/Cowboy/Bear Bar. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older for this event.
We introduced Sacramento Valley Heat to the Sacramento and San Francisco Bay Area Leather communities in 2009 with great success. That year's Heat included classes and presentations on various aspects of BDSM and Leather, a leather and fetish venders market, boot blacking, a fire play demo and class, puppy mosh pit, Sacramento Creative Dom Challenge, as well as an open play space along with separate play spaces for men and women only play activities. We would also like to extend our thanks to all who attended Sacramento's FIRST EVER all inclusive BDSM event, and the first leather weekend in Sacramento since 1994.
In 2010 we took the year off in order to redesign Heat and make it a more relaxed, fun filled event for both you the attendees and us the Producers and Staff. To that end we introduced Fetish Heat in July of that year.
Subsequently in 2011 we incorporated Fetish Heat into the Opening Night Program for Sacramento Valley Heat under the joint direction of Sir Robert Hamm and Matt Bunch as our SVH Co-Directors for the year. Also we revamped the overall structure and location of SVH to make it a more relaxed, hands on and fun experience form all attendees and our staff. This meant that there were no formal classes offered but rather smaller hands on “Try it You Might Like It” opportunities, demos and other fun activities during the day and night portions of SVH. Some fun activities were the puppy play area, fire demos, flogging, a dunk tank and mud wrestling areas. Meals were included with the registration fee for the weekend.
SVH 2011 was a success and we were able to donate $1500.00 to several very deserving local charities who serve our community in various capacities. Thank you to each and every attendee, sponsor, advertiser, staff member, and presenter for helping us to make this possible!
SVH 2012 will be held on July 6th, 7th, and 8th. There will be a Formal Leather Dinner and Ceremony held on our Opening Night at the Hilton Sacramento Arden West as we greet our Guests and Attendees for this years Event. The Hotel will also be our Host Hotel this year.
We are looking forward to seeing both new and returning faces at this years SVH.
